REGISTRATION
FEE: $100
To register you can pay online using a credit card or provide cash/cheque. Please make all cheques payable to “Polar Kings Athletic Club.” Your child’s registration will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment. If payment isn’t completed before the first skate, your child will not be considered registered.
FULL EQUIPMENT NEEDED
BE PREPARED
All players are required to provide their own jersey and must be in full equipment. All tryouts will be held at the Peace Memorial Multiplex and schedules for each level will be added online to review. Skate sharpening at the arena may not be available during camps so please come prepared.

Formed in 1993, The Polar Kings Athletic Club was created to provide young, talented and dedicated hockey players in rural Alberta the opportunity to play at a higher caliber of hockey. The Polar Kings Athletic Club is proud to be part of the Wainwright Minor Hockey Association.

Hockey team age groups are determined if the child is under the chosen age as of December 31 of the current season.

What We Look For
A TRUE POLAR KING
Tryouts can be a nerve-wracking experience, but the right preparation can make all the difference. We’ve put together some simple yet effective tips to help your young athlete stand out on the ice and make a lasting impression.
- Look engaged, work hard on the ice, don’t cheat during drills and try your hardest with every repetition.
- Listen when drills are being explained, and if you don’t understand a drill ask the coach for guidance.
- Showcase the skills that you are good at. If you are a great skater – skate, if you have a great shot – shoot.
- There is nothing better than seeing players smile and having fun. Remember to enjoy your tryouts!
