Formed in 1993, The Polar Kings Athletic Club was created to provide young, talented and dedicated hockey players in rural Alberta the opportunity to play at a higher caliber of hockey. The Polar Kings are proud to be part of the Wainwright Minor Hockey Association, playing out of the Peace Memorial Multiplex in Wainwright, Alberta.

- The Polar Kings hold an open and transparent recruitment of coaches and are excited for the coming year.
- Coaches should have an interest and ability to be able to use video review.
- Coaches will participate in evaluations and team selection with Division Directors.
- Coaches must be willing to have a background check completed.
- Coaches are required to prepare practice plans and have all required qualifications for elite hockey.
- Compensation on a team by team basis is available.

Yes, your child can join the Polar King Team! We hold Summer Camps, Conditioning Camps, and Try-outs each season to make sure we put together the best Polar King Teams!
Practices and Home games will be held at our Home Arena, the Wainwright Peace Memorial Multiplex. Away games will be held throughout Alberta at our opposing teams arenas.
Equipment required to play with the Polar Kings Team can include hockey stick, hockey skates, skate guards, hockey helmet, hockey shoulder pads, hockey elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, neck guard, mouth guard (U11 and up), hockey jock/jill protective cup, hockey shin guards, hockey socks, hockey bag (large duffel), and a water bottle.
